  • Millet - 300 g
  • Buckwheat flour - 300 g
  • Butter - 3-4 tbsp.
  • Eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • Sour cream - 1 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Yeast - 15 g

Millet Pancake Recipe

Millet pancakes are prepared according to the following Ukrainian cuisine recipe. Millet needs to be sorted out, washed, boiled a viscous porridge, allowed to cool and rub it through a sieve. In half a glass of milk, add 1 tbsp. butter, bring to a boil, add 1 cup of buckwheat flour, brew a thick dough and let it cool slightly. Dilute the yeast in warm water and pour into the dough, stir and set aside in a warm place to approach. Grind the egg yolks with sugar, salt, pour in warm milk, add to the dough that has come up, mix and put back in the heat. Beat the egg whites into foam, mix with the dough that has come up and bake pancakes. Before serving, pour over the finished Ukrainian pancakes with oil, serve sour cream separately.
